What is Slingshot?
Slingshot is a monthly project produced by the Tacoma Film Alliance. The goal of Slingshot is to produce at least 1 short film per month, with the goal of building your confidence and experience in filmmaking.
What are the rules?
- Everybody is welcome to participate!
- Scripts will be voted upon by Slingshot members monthly.
- Scripts should be limited to 2-3 pages, and should be able to be filmed in around half a day.
- Scripts submissions last for 1 week.
- Voting on the months script will last for 1 week.
- The writer of the selected film directs the film, unless they decide to select someone else.
- The director of the film assigns the producer, selects the cast, and the crew.
- Monthly films should be edited within 30 days.
- The TFA will be there to help with knowledge and tools.
- Repeat the next month!
